Local 274 Donates $15,000 to Katrina Relief
NJ Locals Give $109,000 
Business Manager and Financial Secretary/Treasurer John R. Wende and the officers of Local 274 express their thanks to the membership for their generous outpouring of donations to the United Association Emergency Relief Fund for the victims of the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Katrina. Our local donated a total of $15,000 of the $109,000 in total produced by the New Jersey member locals for the drive. Fourteen Become Local 274 Refrigeration Journeymen 2005 Fourteen members have become Refrigeration Journeymen for 2005. They are Michael Aurila, Todd Bellini, Paul Cicchetti, Steve Cochran, Adam Elgindy, John Estades, Fortunate Giunta, George Hayes, Andrew Holt, Harry Justiniano, Steven Lauro, Eric Paduch, Delfin Pornel and Eric Price.

Graduating Apprentices We have nine apprentices who came out of their time in October with Medical Gas Certification and the OSHA 10 Certification. Seven of the nine have at least one UA Welding Certification, and two of the apprentices have three certifications. The winner of the Vincent Spiezio Sr. Award is Victor Pimentel. |
